Getting started is simple. Design a JOY FM sign, billboard, yard display, painting or ANY art for that matter that highlights JOY FM 104.5, then display it proudly for your community to see.

There will be one Grand Prize $1,000 winner and four $250 winners selected.

JOY FM $1,000 Art Contest – Official Rules

1. Sponsor

The JOY FM $1,000 Art Contest (“Contest”) is sponsored by JOY FM 104.5 (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents of the United States of any age.

• Entrants under the age of 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian

• A parent or legal guardian must submit the entry and accept any prize on behalf of a minor

• Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of JOY FM and its affiliates are not eligible

• Void where prohibited by law

3. Contest Description

Participants are invited to create original artwork that promotes JOY FM 104.5.

Accepted formats include, but are not limited to:

• Paintings

• Drawings

• Digital artwork

• Yard sign designs

• Billboard concepts

• Mixed media

All entries must be:

• Original

• Created by the entrant

• Free of copyrighted or trademarked material not owned by the entrant

4. How to Enter

Participants may enter the Contest during the contest period using one of the following methods:

A. Online Submission

Submit artwork through the official JOY FM website at 1045joyfm.com via the contest entry form.

B. Mobile App Submission

Submit artwork through the official JOY FM mobile app using the designated contest submission feature.

C. Social Media Entry

Post your artwork on social media and tag JOY FM.

• Entrant must follow JOY FM’s official account on the platform used

• Post must be public and visible at time of judging

• Must include tag: @1045joyfm (or correct platform handle)

• JOY FM is not responsible for entries not received due to privacy settings, tagging errors, or platform issues

5. Entry Conditions

• Limit one (1) entry per person unless otherwise stated

• Parent/guardian must submit entries for minors

• Entries must be received before the contest deadline to be eligible

6. Contest Period

7. Judging & Selection

Winners will be selected by JOY FM based on:

• Creativity

• Originality

• Alignment with JOY FM brand and message

• Overall visual impact

All decisions are final.

8. Prizes

• (1) Grand Prize: $1,000 + featured inclusion in a JOY FM billboard campaign in the Spokane market

• (4) Additional Winners: $250 each

• If winner is under 18, prize will be awarded to their parent or legal guardian

• Prizes are non-transferable

• No substitutions except at Sponsor’s discretion

9. Rights & Usage

By entering, participants (and parent/guardian if applicable) grant JOY FM a:

Non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, display, and distribute submitted artwork for promotional and marketing purposes in any media, including:

• On-air

• Website and streaming platforms

• Social media

• Billboards and print advertising

Entrants retain ownership of their artwork but agree to its use without additional compensation.

10. Publicity Release

By entering, participants (and parent/guardian for minors) agree that JOY FM may use:

• Name

• City

• Likeness

• Submitted artwork

for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.

11. General Conditions

JOY FM reserves the right to:

• Disqualify any entry that is inappropriate, offensive, or violates these rules

• Disqualify entries containing copyrighted or trademarked material not owned by the entrant

• Cancel, suspend, or modify the Contest if necessary

12. Liability Release

By participating, entrants (and parent/guardian if applicable) agree to release and hold harmless JOY FM and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or liability arising from participation or acceptance of any prize.

13. Taxes

Winners are responsible for all applicable federal, state, and local taxes.

• Prizes valued over $600 may require completion of IRS Form W-9

• JOY FM may issue a Form 1099 to the prize recipient (parent/guardian for minors)

14. Winner Notification

Winners will be contacted using the information provided at entry.

If a selected winner cannot be reached within a reasonable timeframe, an alternate winner may be selected.

15. Social Media Disclaimer

This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram, Facebook, or any other social media platform.

By entering via social media, entrants agree to release these platforms from any responsibility related to this Contest.

By submitting via social media, entrants grant JOY FM permission to repost, share, and use submitted content for promotional purposes.

16. Governing Law

This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho.
